Every Today and Every Tomorrow

by Ian Luckett (Data)

So, Happy christmas 2016 everyone!

It seems we have lost so many great artists this year. Lemmy, B.B. King, David Bowie, Prince, Keith Emerson, Greg Lake, and the list never seems to stop. May they all be in a better place, and know how much they meant to all of us.

With that in mind here is the only Christmas song I have ever written. You will notice that in tribute to Greg Lake I used Prokofiev’s "Troika" theme (from the film: ’Lieutenant Kije'), which will now and forever be associated with the festive season.

Have fun, and remember...

If all I have
Is looking back
When making dreams come true
Has faded away

Being tied
To every past temptation
Only tells us
Who we were yesterday

Every today
And every tomorrow
Every now
And every then

Every today
And every tomorrow
These are the moments
To live your dreams

What’s wrong
With giving the rest of the year
Can’t we love
From January to late December

Pat ourselves on the back
For being crazy
Thinking we can only give
Just one day a year

No autotune - EVER!

You may notice I use lots of harmonies in vocal overdubs, but it is always just my voice with maybe some echo and a little bit of reverb!!!!!
