Not Welcome in Paradise

about

I wrote this because it seems no one are, at least not in the mainstream. So I thought long and hard about the great "protest songs" of the past, and came up with this!

WARNING:

DO NOT PLAY THIS TRACK! - especially if you are American, because it will absolutely offend you!

lyrics

VERSE 1:

How many dreams does it take to teach us all
How far we can fall

And how many easy choices can we make
Before every choice becomes another brick in that old wall

Bridge:

Give me your tired and needy
Give me your poor

They’re not welcome in paradise any more

CHORUS:

Give me your huddled masses
Yearning to breathe free

Your homeless are not welcomed any more by me

Keep the wretched refuse
Of your teeming shore

They are just not welcome in paradise any more

VERSE 2:

How many workmen does it take
To build that wall

Strong enough to silence
Every voice outside it all

And how many children
Can you turn away in shame

Because of their colour
Or even just their name

No autotune - EVER!

You may notice I use lots of harmonies in vocal overdubs, but it is always just my voice with maybe some echo and a little bit of reverb!!!!!
